Simone & Brian

Simone and Brian were married on October 2nd at the Cloisters Castle in Maryland. It was a rainy day, but the venue was so gorgeous that in the end, the weather didn’t matter.  Simone wore three different dresses – a white wedding gown, a traditional red Chinese wedding dress, and a black and white dancing dress, which she created from hand-made doilies knitted by her bridesmaids and mothers of the bride and groom.  She also hand-knitted her veil.  A couple days after the wedding, we met in Ocean City for a post-wedding shoot.

Erica and Jonathon

Erica and Jonathon had an intimate brunch wedding at the Lesner Inn in Virginia Beach complete with sand dollars and bloody marys.  After the reception, we went down to 80th St. for some sunny beach portraits.

Betsy and Andy

Betsy and Andy had a beautiful fall wedding at Great Meadow Polo Club in The Plains, Virginia.  Their affection and love for each other made it easy to capture intimate moments around the grounds of the Meadows.

Aisley and Steven

Aisley and Steven were married in a beautiful church in Alexandria.  Then after some photos around the monuments in D.C., they finished the day with their amazing reception at Sheraton National, which has a view overlooking the Pentagon, Washington Monument, and the Capital Building.

Angela and Devang

Devang and Angela (aka. Devangela) were married in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Richmond.  Flowers are used to signify beauty and joy.  Rice and other grains used in the ceremony signify food necessary to sustain human life and the couple exchanges garlands to signify their mutual acceptance of their lifelong commitment to one another.  The decor by Le Reve Creations was gorgeous and really set the mood for the day.

Laine and Ben

Laine and Ben were married in Mt. Airy, MD at her parents’ home.  The setting was gorgeous and the barn across the street was perfect for a few portraits.

Summer Weddings!!

This summer’s weddings have been incredible!  I’ve had so much fun and made many life-long friends.  Here is a little glimpse of a few of those weddings!

Stephanie and Billy

Stephanie and Billy were married on September 5th at a historic manor in Virginia Beach.  The home was built in the 1860′s and is furnished with antiques from around the same period.  Additionally, it is situated on a beautiful cove that leads to the Chesapeake Bay, which only added to the romantic feel of the home.

Kristen’s Portraits

Kristen and I met for a portrait session in Virginia Beach.  On the way to our planned shooting site, we drove past this beautiful little field and decided to stop here instead.

Chrystal and Greg

Details, Details, Details!  Chrystal and Greg were married on the beach in Corolla, NC on May 16th.  Beach weddings are naturally beautiful, but the details of Chrystal and Greg’s wedding made it gorgeous and unique.  From the flowers and bouquets to the shoes and cupcakes, every piece made the day more complete.
